Surprisingly, or perhaps unsurprisingly, depending on your current location within the country, it has been revealed that the South West is home to the UK’s friendliest workers. The area also boasts one of the lowest unemployment rates in the UK.
Almost half (48 percent) of the region’s workers said they consider some of their colleagues to be friends, research from indoor go-karting company TeamSport reveals.
The East Midlands comes out as the UK’s most unfriendly working region, with only 25 percent of its workers considering some of their colleagues as friends, followed by London at 29 percent..
Women tend to get along with their peers more than men (42 percent VS 36 percent), while over one in ten (11 percent) workers don’t consider any of their colleagues as friends.
Workers aged 25-34 are most likely to be close with their peers (44 percent) and those aged 55 and over are the least (33 percent).
