Ben began his career working as a City lawyer. In 2000, he and his brother Ollie bought Tinies Childcare, which went on to become the biggest supplier or nannies and nursery staff operating from 30 agencies across the UK. In 2005 they founded My Family Care, with the unique proposition of offering clients a complete family-friendly employee benefits and services package.

As MD, Ben has overseen substantial company growth, an ever increasing client roster and the development of My Family Care’s Work+Family Space, the online platform though which employees access services. Now a father of three, Ben has a unique perspective on the very varied needs of both employers and working parents and carers.

The New Chief Executive of the UK’s leading gender equality and women’s rights charity, the Fawcett Society, Sam has many years of parliamentary, public affairs and communications experience including Grandparents Plus where she has been Chief Executive since 2008. Sam is highly experienced in equalities work and issues having worked for both the Equal Opportunities Commission and the Equalities and Human Rights Commission.

Vicky Pryce is an Economist and commentator. She is currently Chief Economic Adviser with the consulting firm CEBR. She was previously Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting, Director General for Economics at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and Joint Head of the UK Government Economics Service.

James heads up Symposium Consulting in addition to running Symposium’s internal HR function. A former news editor for HRreview, James spent several years working in retail before his experiences as a line manager at various levels persuaded him to move to a career in human resources. An avid HR blogger and tweeter on HR and management issues, James has worked as a recruiter and trainer and has expertise in both strategy as well as HR processes such as absence and performance management. He serves as the contact and coordinator for all Symposium consultancy projects, selecting the individuals or team of consultants to best serve our clients’ HR needs.

James has a BA from the University of Nottingham in American Studies, a Masters in Human Resource Management from the University of Westminster and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Ed Bowyer is a partner in Hogan Lovells’ market-leading employment team. Ed advises a broad range of corporate clients on all aspects of the employment relationship  Ed has particular expertise in advising on complex and large scale outsourcing transactions and also advises employers on Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation.
